Initial Teaching Training

High quality teaching is the single biggest factor in securing strong outcomes for students. We know that effective teaching transforms the lives of our young people, helping them to unlock potential that they didn’t know they had.

CPD

As a teaching hub we are committed to providing high quality professional development, providing courses which meet the needs of our area.

Appropriate Body Services

All ECTs must have their induction registered with an Appropriate Body. The Appropriate Body oversees the period of induction, ensuring that statutory entitlements are met. The Appropriate Body reads ECT reports, and formally approves that the ECT has served their period of induction.

Early Career Framework

Schools have three options for meeting this new entitlement; use a provider such as a Teaching School Hub, deliver their own training using DfE resources, or write their own courses.

National Professional Qualifications

Kent Teaching School Hub, in partnership with Ambition Institute and the Church of England, are pleased to offer free places on all new National Professional Qualifications (NPQs). Applications are now open for those wishing to start their NPQ in October 2022.
